Great read and great for a discussion about stories from different cultures
This is a great book for a beginning reader. This well known African tale has been Americanized in order to introduce your child to different stories and cultures. The child must put himself or herself in place of Anansi and ask what they would do. The end may not be familiar to us as American readers but it allows the parent and child to begin a discussion and it opens the door to research and learn about other people and other cultures. This is so important to expose children early to different stories from other cultures. There's fun puzzles at the end of the story to check your child's comprehension.
